Unlikely Pairs: Fun with Famous Works of Art by Bob Raczka, 2006
The kids and I had a lot of fun looking at this book. Every set of facing pages has two paintings or other works of art that combine to suggest a situation or make you laugh. A Vermeer painting of a girl playing the guitar is next to modern art from 1988 showing people dancing. A girl pouring water out of a window is placed above a Renoir painting of people in the street with umbrellas. I only wish the book was longer!
