The annual autumn leaf walk

Last week the kids informed me that it was time for our annual tradition of going for a walk to stomp in the leaves. I know we've done this before, but I didn't know it was a tradition. I stand corrected. It was great weather, and we found some streets not too far away with excellent leaf piles.

Here are the three of them with the prettiest leaves they could find. (You can tell that the street we were on doesn't have much variety in the type of trees.) I think T. is trying to grow leaves out of his head.

The photo doesn't really show how gorgeous this tree was with the sun on the golden leaves. We went past it today and the leaves have all fallen now.

And this has nothing to do with leaves. It's just a really nice picture M. took of the clouds one morning when I didn't know she was outside with the camera.
